DALSTON SHOW 8th August 2026

2025 was another successful show despite the early morning rain.

In 2026 we will once again welcome all our supporters both old and new from the local community and those who travel from far and wide to enjoy our Show.

We anticipate another good turnout of Horse and Livestock breeders from throughout Cumbria, North of England and South West Scotland, together with the many families who enter almost 200 classes in the Industrial section.

In 2024 we introduced some new classes: Ridden Heavy Horse, Young Handler Heavy Horse, and Concours D'Elegance and these will continue in 2026.

We have many Sponsorship opportunities for 2026, details can be found on our website from 15th February 2026.

Over 80 trade stands will fill the field with colour as they display their wares on sale or promote the work of their organisations. There will be plenty to eat and drink from our various caterers and speciality bars.

Our reputation for fun entertainment will hopefully be maintained with lots going on in the Main Ring, including BMX Arena Display and Terrier Racing and the ever-popular Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling. The day ends with Raughton Head Young Farmers and their challenge for this year.

That's not all, there will also be other entertainers during the day, including Musical Ruth, Zoobidoo, the zoo that comes to you, Dalston based Jordyn Louise Dance, Stu-Di-Doo and music by the Border Concert Band.

We planted some trees earlier this year in memory of Nick Utting our previous Secretary, who was instrumental in resurrecting the show and it's subsequent success. You can see these trees on the bank at the end of the Main Ring

There is plenty for everyone on 8th August at Dalston Show so we look forward to seeing you on the show field.
